Add a scan-to-play code to an event invitation so guests can try the same level. Share a score card after a friendly office challenge. Put a short birthday greeting at the finish line, without requiring the recipient to create an account.
Keep essential information available outside the game. A maze should be optional fun, not a barrier to a menu, contact card or important instructions.
The play view is derived from QR data, but paths and pieces change its appearance. Scan mode restores the original square modules and four-module quiet zone. Original downloads use H error correction and are decoded before the file is offered.
Digital verification is not a print guarantee. Test your final size, material, lighting and destination with the phones your audience uses. Error correction does not make arbitrary artwork safe to scan. QR error correction explained
Maze creation and QR verification run in your browser. This tool page does not load third-party analytics or chat widgets. Challenge content is stored in the share link fragment, not sent as a server query, and is removed from the address bar after loading.
A shared link is still public to its recipients and any platform you paste it into. The finish-line message is a reveal, not encryption. Never include passwords, personal details or confidential messages.
Gameplay carves paths and adds moving pieces, so the play view is not guaranteed to scan. Switch to Scan mode for the untouched QR, or download the original PNG/SVG. Each original QR export is decoded in your browser and checked against your content before download.
Original PNG/SVG and the QR on a score card keep your original content. The separate Scan-to-play QR opens this maze challenge instead. Both options are clearly labeled; your destination is never silently replaced.
The maze, original QR downloads, score cards and challenge links are free to use without an account. There is no global leaderboard or cloud save. Best times are stored only on this device when you choose to save them.
The link contains your text or URL, seed, theme, difficulty and optional finish-line message. It is not encrypted; anyone with the link can read it. Sharing requires confirmation and is disabled for recognized WiFi credentials, contact payloads and private URL tokens. Never share confidential content.
Press Start game, then use the on-screen direction buttons or swipe. On a keyboard, focus the board and use arrows or WASD; Space pauses. The white orb is you, gold dots are gems, and pink diamonds are guards. Relaxed mode has no guards. Auto demo solves the maze but never sets a personal best.
Longer content produces denser QR patterns and smaller paths on phones. The maze limits UTF-8 content to 120 bytes to stay playable; one Chinese character usually uses more than one byte. Use the full Design studio for longer text, WiFi and contact codes.
